About Us

BibMe is a free Automatic Bibliography Generator that supports MLA, APA, Chicago, and Turabian Formatting. BibMe leverages Amazon, FindArticles, Yahoo! News, and CiteULike to quickly and accurately auto-fill citation information for you. BibMe also contains a quick citation guide to show students the correct syntax for citing in various formats.

History

BibMe started in January of 2007 as a student project. The site was designed with the goal of taking the hassle out of creating a bibliography. We felt that after spending weeks working on an essay or research paper, the last thing a student wants to do is spend countless hours formatting citations. We wanted to create a tool that would enable our users to spend more time working on their essays and research papers, and less time worrying about their bibliographies.

In May of 2007, BibMe.org went live. We've been ecstatic about the overwhelming feedback from students, and are especially flattered by the response from researchers, media specialists, and educators. We feel BibMe has come a long way in delivering an easy-to-use product for its users, and we are committed to keeping BibMe free. User requests and suggestions drive the development of BibMe so feel free to drop us an email at any point.
